Galahad is abnormally tall, as all Abyssians of The Known Soils.
His hair has the colour of charcoal blended with ash.
He has silver eyes with downward pupils and multiple scars on his face and body. At the end of his fingers there are sharp claws like hawk talons or if someone would say, like viper fangs.
He is always sarcastic and sometimes he struggles with anxiety and melancholy.
He appeared at the world of Haerii by accident, after a very bad conjuring with a demon. The being managed to send him away in another world by a portal that it unknown for him how to summon back.
He didn't chose anything in his life. His mother was a whore and his father a simple butcher. They were established in the outskirts of Ardwick, the capital northwest of Ferdania, without any particular wealth.
Her mother caught the Serpent Plague, which was thriving in her years and she gave birth to Galahad. A boy with silver-snake eyes and black claws at the end of his fingers. Of course she died afterwards, and the boy had to cope with his abusive father and a society that treated his kind poorly. Abyssians they called them, because of their eyes that resembled the void at its finest.
His real name was Galahad Sparkrest, cause of his father. He made him work at the butcher shop day and night without rest and proper treatment.
A girl came frequently at the shop, and started to get interested in Galahad's personality and looks. At the age of 19 he decided to marry her in secret, without his father and her family knowing.
When every relative of her found out she had an affair with a freak like Galahad, they burned her alive as a punishment of upsetting the balancing and order of the known world. She couldn't be with a monster.
Galahad, in rage, took her ashes and spread them across the lake they used to go when they first met. Furious he went to his father, to see why he didn't do anything to prevent the death of his wife. And the bitter truth was that he told them that they had the secret affair. Galahad tried to pin his father in the wall with his claws, but he managed to grab a metal rod from the fire place and hit him in the head. A scar formed in the right side of his skull, and blood was running red across the wooden floors. As his own father tried to kill him with a cleaver, Galahad pierced his chest with a thrust of his nails popping his stone cold heart out of his body.
With a murder in his hands, he took the body of his father after all and buried him in a hill, near a small pathway. He sat near the grave lighting a cigarette and just stared at the soil, lost of what he supposed to do next.
For his luck, in that very pathway a man riding a stallion came stopping next to him. Dressed in a black vest and carrying with him 7 swords, one different from another, he asked the boy what was his business sitting next to a grave. He was an Abyssian himself.
After explaining what he did Galahad asked him for an advise. The man said:
"I can give you many advises. But after all, what's the advise a broken heart can follow?"
The man came from an organisation known as The Circle of Vipers. A known band of Abyssians that recruited abnormal people of the Serpent Plague. Galahad didn't understand the question at first. But he knew that the path of the Viper fitted his nature. He had to get rid of all emotions and find peace within himself.
He asked him if he can join their brotherhood. The man's eyes lit up and asked Galahad:
"I don't even know your name kid. All I know is that you burried your father and that you smoke." He joked.
Galahad told him his name and stumbled in his way to say his surname. He looked at the grave where his pathetic father lied, and despised everything that reminded him. After a quick sight he continued:
"My name is Galahad, Graves."
"Very well mister Graves. You can hop in, but you have to know, this decision can't be taken back." The man said.
"What is your name sir?" Galahad said.
"Gray Callahan." He answered.
"Sir Callahan, I have nothing to lose. Make me build something that can fix that."
Gray smiled and took young Galahad in his company. He was at the way leading to the Academy of Del'Myr, where Galahad could finally build himself and his mind.
After the 16th Circle of the Viper, Galahad was a teacher at the Academy, an experienced alchemist, conjurer and exorcist. He was a master swordsman at his 638 years of experience. He joined at the end of the 9th Circle.
He had many professions, a lot of trusted colleagues, but after all, his heart was an empty place. He didn't care, but from time to time that blank space needed to feel something human and real. Love and compassion left his conscious, hate was very limited, sadness was watered down. Everything inside him was neutral and that needed to change. Someone had to change him. And make him feel again.
